Dry flowers, everlastings, what ever you want to call them they are making a come back and I AM EXCASTIC! I don’t know why I love dried blooms so much, but husband think I like to have them hanging around because it feels a little witchy (this may be a fair observation – thank you Practical Magic and the lady who owns Sugarfoot on Heartland). Whatever the reason, I love them and quite a few of you do to. They are surprisingly versatile; bouquets, wreaths, accents, flower confetti, garlands, even as florals for weddings. I played around with a few creations this fall and It’s hard to pick a favorite but I REALLY like the accented pumpkins! In 2020 I have added additional varieties for drying and plan to drastically increase the number of strawflowers I grow; they are just fantastic fresh or dry! Below are some great resources and tutorials I have found using everlasting flowers, happy crafting! https://julieblanner.com/diy-dried-flower-wreath-tutorial/ https://www.apartmentapothecary.com/how-to-make-a-dried-hydrangea-wreath-2/ https://lifeatcloverhill.com/2017/10/dried-flower-wreath.html http://twigandtoadstool.blogspot.com/2013/12/pressed-flower-ornaments-this-past.html
